About Mahi Maniacs
Mahi Maniacs Lures was started in 2018 by Eric Cross. Eric started Mahi Maniacs because he was having an issue finding affordable high quality lures that would last more than one trip offshore or one bite and would have to be thrown in the trash bucket destined for the trash. He searched far and wide for a manufacturer that made lures using high quality materials, he did not want to skimp on quality while still aimed to keep the products affordable.
In June 2024, Zac Carrigan, Owner of Paradise Tackle, acquired Mahi Maniacs from Eric. After dedicating over half a decade pouring his heart and soul into growing Mahi Maniacs into the thriving community and trusted brand it is today he sough a hardworking, like-minded individual to carry on the legacy and take the business to new heights. He knew Zac currently owned an Offshore Tackle Retail business and possessed the knowledge and drive to continue growing the Mahi Maniacs brand.
About The Owner
Zac Carrigan is a proud Navy Veteran with seven years of service and a deep passion for offshore fishing. Growing up in the Northeast, he spent countless hours outdoors with his family and friends, engaging in activities like fishing, hunting, dirt biking and snowmobiling on his parents' property in Vermont. Zac relocated to South Florida during his Navy tenure at NAS Key West. Now, he resides in South Florida with his wife and three daughters, sharing the stunning beauty of the local waters and hoping to instill in them the same enthusiasm he has for the outdoors, offshore fishing, and boating. Zac is no stranger to the tackle industry as he is the Owner of Paradise Tackle and retails over twenty-five brands of quality offshore tackle.
